Job Overview:
Digivort Technologies Limited, a fast-paced IT solutions provider, is looking for a meticulous and driven **Legal & Compliance Intern** to support our legal and regulatory functions. This role is ideal for law students or recent graduates interested in the intersection of technology, law, and compliance. You will assist with legal documentation, internal policy reviews, contract analysis, and regulatory research—gaining exposure to real-world issues like data privacy, cybersecurity law, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining legal documents including NDAs, MSAs, SLAs, data processing agreements, and licensing contracts
* Conduct legal and regulatory research on topics such as IT laws, intellectual property, cybersecurity regulations, and data protection (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, IT Act)
* Support compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments in line with internal policies and external regulations
* Help maintain compliance logs and track deadlines for filings, renewals, and regulatory obligations
* Assist with the development and review of internal policies (e.g., data retention, privacy, anti-bribery, information security)
* Monitor legal and regulatory updates affecting the tech industry and prepare briefing notes for internal teams
* Collaborate with HR, IT, and Product teams on compliance training, employee agreements, and third-party risk assessments
* Support document organization, version control, and secure record-keeping practices

Requirements:
1. Education: * Currently pursuing or recently completed a Law degree (LL.B, B.A. LL.B, or equivalent)

2. Preferred: Focus or coursework in Technology Law, Cyber Law, or Corporate Law

3. Skills:
* Strong research and legal drafting skills
* Attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive information
* Basic understanding of contract law, IT law, and regulatory frameworks
* Familiarity with data privacy principles (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) is a plus
* Good communication skills and ability to work across departments
* Organized, responsible, and eager to learn

4. Preferred (Not Required):
* Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
* Experience using document management systems or legal research tools (e.g., Manupatra, Westlaw, LexisNexis)
* Prior internship experience in a legal, compliance, or tech-based role
